I am a mechanical engineer, researcher, and teacher on a mission to solve the world’s biggest challenges: ensuring everyone has access to energy resources, medical technology, education, and a safe environment.
I bring broad experience designing, optimizing, and bringing to life projects including low-cost instruments to monitor air quality during wildfires, cost-saving control algorithms culminating in publishing peer-reviewed papers, a miniature bicycle-powered refrigerator, and teaching novel hands-on STEM lessons ranging from elementary to university level.
Whether presenting results to a technical team, demonstrating the cost savings of demand responsive controls to prospective industry partners, or explaining PID to middle-schoolers, others seek me out afterward to continue the conversation or thank me for providing clear explanations and new insights. Colleagues trust me to be dependable, analytical, and a visionary striving for exceptional solutions beyond what is asked.
My hobbies include rapid prototyping of 3D printed replacement parts, experimenting with open-source generative AI models, repairing discarded computers, drawing a STEM-based comic, and playing strategy-based board games.
